Septic Systems

We design and install ALL types of septic systems, including all new-technology treatment and dispersal systems such as Premier Tech Aqua EcoFlo Biofilters, American Manufacturing drip irrigation, Eljen geotextile filter systems, Orenco Advantex recirculating geotextile filters, and many more.  The type of septic system you can install on your property is determined by the types of soils on your property and other site considerations such as required setbacks, etc.  Our goal is to use our decades of expertise in soils, system design, and system installation to provide you with the most cost effective septic system that will provide you with worry-free service for decades to come.

Permit Application/Soil Testing

The first step in the process of installing a new septic system is submitting an application form and fee to your County Health Department or Township, and schedule soil testing to be conducted with the local inspector.  We assist you by providing the forms required for your Township/County and scheduling all inspections.

The first day of the soil testing involves excavating test pits to determine the soil types on the property, the types of systems that are suitable based on the soil evaluations, and the best location for a new septic system absorption area.  The second day of testing involves performing a percolation (perk) test, which determines the soil’s drainage capacity, and the amount of square footage that will be required for a new absorption area.

Septic System Design

We have designed thousands of septic systems of all types and sizes for residential, commercial, and industrial properties.  We have the experience to design the right type of system for your property from simple gravity-fed systems, to new technology alternatives to the traditional dread sand mound, to sophisticated small flow treatment facilities that discharge highly treated effluent to a stream or storm sewer.   Once we have completed your system design it is submitted to the local agency for permitting.

Septic System Installation

"Hello sand mound, goodbyecurb appeal!"We have installed thousands of septic systems and have the right equipment and experience to get your project done professionally, efficiently, and with minimal disturbance the property.  Installing a new septic system can sometimes seem a little overwhelming, with large piles of dirt, stone, sand, tanks etc. in your yard in various stages for about a week, but don’t fret, it will all be put back better than we found it, regraded, seeded with quality grass seed, and fertilized for a quick new lawn.

We offer installation of all types of systems, but in most cases, would rather not install a sand mound in your yard.  A sand mound is a rather old-school system, used for soils with poor drainage, shallow water tables, etc.  There are many options available in newer, more sustainable treatment technologies that will offer a system much more aesthetically pleasing and longer-lasting than a sand mound at a competitive price.

Watch PR Environmental DesignsInstall Another Ecoflo System. Our most commonly designed and installed sand mound alternative is the Premier Tech Aqua EcoFlo biofilter, which is a passive filter using coconut shell fibers, allowing for the installation of an absorption area that is only 18” to 24” tall, as opposed to a 5’ to 6‘ high sand mound.  We have also designed and installed many drip irrigation systems, Orenco Advantex geotextile filter systems, and many more.

We guarantee our installations, and provide a 3 year warranty on all installations, and offer extended manufacturers warranties on products such as Goulds pumps and EcoFlo Biofilters.
